We are deeply saddened by the loss of old acquaintance, guru, new world thinker and intellectual showman Hunter S. Thompson.

Knowing him, I would say he is on a new journey now, a new trip into the great unkown. He was not shy about exploring. This was his final frontier.

For years he stayed on my Christmas card list... knowing to just address it to him in Woody Creek, Aspen he would get it. It always made me feel that we kept our kindred spirit connected somehow. Some of my wildest and most stimulating nights were spent rampaging through Aspen and Carbondale, Colorado with him. Just this week I was talking about those experiences and how they remained fresh in my memory.

Goodbye Hunter... We sure needed you and now we are sure gonna miss ya.
